Who will get the number one pick?

As the 2014 regular NFL season is drawing to a close, a select number of fans can start looking forward to the possibility of seeing the thrills and spills of the post season. However for some teams the dream of playoff football died a long time ago as their season floundered and as a result they began to face the prospect of getting the number 1 pick in the 2015 draft.

There are currently five teams with a 2-11 record at the moment, they are then ranked for the draft on the difficulty of their schedule for the year and the team with the regarded ‘easiest’ schedule will get the first pick. Let’s look at those teams and what order they are currently in:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Remaining Schedule: @ Panthers, vs Packers & vs Saints

Currently the Bucs have the number one pick for the draft due to the fact their division, the NFC South, has been atrocious this season; with no team going to end the season with a winning record. They have struggled to piece together any real form; their only two wins came in a shock victory against the Steelers in Pittsburgh and in Washington against the Redskins.

They have been unlucky on a number of occasions, having two OT losses and losing 14-13 to the Bengals two weeks ago. Looking at their remaining games I can see them picking up a victory against either the Panthers or Saints as these two teams have been highly inconsistent and so provide a good opportunity for the Bucs to pick up some further W’s before the end of season.
